Who we are and what this covers

Moonshadow Ranch ("we," "us") is a wedding and event venue with guest lodging at 220 County Road 212, Bertram, Texas. This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information through moonshadowranchtx.com and when you contact us about an event or stay. It does not cover Airbnb, Vrbo or other third-party platforms, which have their own policies.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. Name, email, phone number, event date, guest count, event type and any details you share through our inquiry form, by phone, email or in person.
  • Booking information. Details needed to plan and contract your event or a direct Silo stay, such as names of the people responsible for the booking and payment records. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site and similar data collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health or precise geolocation data) through this site.

How we use it

  • To answer inquiries, send pricing information and schedule tours or calls
  • To plan, contract and deliver your event or stay
  • To send occasional updates you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it
  • To measure and, unless you opt out, personalize our advertising
  • To protect our property, guests and site, and to meet legal obligations

Who we share it with

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, including our inquiry and client management platform (HoneyBook), website hosting, email and payment processors.
  • Analytics and advertising partners, such as Google and Meta, when you allow those cookies.
  • Vendors you ask us to connect you with, only at your request.
  • Authorities or others when required by law or to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale of the business.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising," under some state laws. You can opt out as described below.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Texas and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Receive a portable copy
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page and turn off advertising cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt out automatically.

Making a request. Call us or reach us through the contact page with your request. We will confirm your identity using information we already have, and respond within 45 days (extendable once where the law allows). You may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the time required by your state's law. If your appeal is denied you may contact your state attorney general. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful for planning, typically up to three years, and booking records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us information and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
