Five thousand square feet of reclaimed wood. Two hundred guests on the main floor and another twenty on the mezzanine, so anyone who should not be taking stairs stays below.
Two hundred folding chairs and twenty ten-person tables come with the rental, which takes a large line item off the family budget. Chandeliers, three eight foot windmill fans and air conditioning throughout keep the night comfortable in any season.
The floor is what families notice second. It takes a full court waltz, then the surprise dance, then four hours of everybody else.

Rolling Hill Country pasture gives you an outdoor ceremony, a waltz under the open sky and full court portraits. The pond adds a backdrop no ballroom can replicate.
The farm animals turn up in more photographs than anyone plans for. A young woman in her gown laughing beside a goat is the kind of portrait a hotel simply cannot hand you.
After dark, far from Austin's lights, the Burnet County sky does the rest.
Where she gets ready, and where the court lines up
The barn has two separate lounges. One becomes hers, for the dress, the hair and the fifteen minutes before the doors open. The other holds the chambelanes, their jackets and the shoes nobody wants to put on yet.
The bay doors give you the entrance. They open wide, so she comes in through them rather than a side door, and the photographer gets a clean shot with the light behind her.
