Sleeps four · Rents separately · $250 a nightSix bedrooms, six private baths, and no two of them the same. Most families sort themselves out in about ten minutes once they have walked the house, but here is the short version so you can work it out before anyone arrives.
A king bed, a walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub, with windows looking out over the pond. It is the largest room in the house and the quietest end of it. Whoever did the planning should take this one, and usually does not, so somebody else should insist.
Above the garage, reached by a covered walkway, which makes it the only room in the house that feels like its own address. A ranch house bedroom above the detached garage, with a king bed, its own full bath and a covered walkway to the house.
Upstairs and set apart from the main part of the house, with a king bed and a private bath. This is the room for the guest who needs an hour alone before dinner, or the one who intends to sleep past nine on Sunday while the kitchen fills up downstairs.
King bed, private bath with a tub, and a walk through door into the Blue Room, the old Jack and Jill bathroom door. Families take this one because the children can be next door and still within earshot, and because bathing small people in a tub beats a shower stall at the end of a long day.
On the other side of that same walk through door. Four poster bed and its own private bath. Book it together with the Fun Room if you are travelling with young children, or on its own if you are not, in which case the door simply stays shut.
Near the front door, the Flex Room used to be the office. It has a full bed and works for whoever needs it, from a single guest to a late addition to the weekend.

Most venues hand you a room and a time slot, and where everybody sleeps becomes your problem to solve twenty miles away. Having the beds on the property changes the shape of the whole weekend, and it changes it most for three groups of people.
Out of town guests first. They have already done the flight, the hire car and the county roads they have never seen in daylight. When the music stops they walk across the yard rather than driving back to a hotel at midnight, and nobody has to organise a shuttle or negotiate who is staying sober.
Families with young children second. Naps happen in a real bedroom a hundred feet from the barn instead of in a car. The Fun Room and the Blue Room share a walk through door, so parents can put children to bed and still be part of the evening.
And the people you want at breakfast. That is the part couples do not plan for and always remember. Coffee in the big kitchen on Sunday, half the family still in yesterday's clothes, nobody checking a departure time. It only happens if they stayed the night before.
With four-day access the lodging is what makes the extra days worth having. Thursday is moving in rather than checking in. Friday the rehearsal dinner happens here and everyone walks home from it. There is no commute in the middle of your own wedding weekend.
