Request the pricing guideReclaimed wood, eight chandeliers, and doors that roll open
Guests sit at tables below or up on the mezzanine. Three eight foot windmill fans and full HVAC keep the room comfortable in August. After sundown you roll the bay doors up and the party carries on out onto the turf for games.
We share a preferred vendor list of professionals who have worked on the property and come highly recommended. You are also welcome to bring your own vendors, as long as they are properly licensed. A minimum of day-of management is required and is booked separately.

Bring the licensed vendors you want.
We share a preferred vendor list of professionals who have worked on the property and come highly recommended. You are also welcome to bring your own vendors, as long as they are properly licensed. A minimum of day-of management is required and is booked separately.
The warming kitchen, two commercial refrigerators, a warming oven and an ice machine are ready for whoever you hire. A catering company, a local restaurant, a food truck, or the family member who makes the best brisket in Texas.
The DJ who already knows the playlist, the band you have watched play all year, or an acoustic set for the ceremony. No approvals and no added fees.
Reclaimed wood, chandeliers and Hill Country light are a blank canvas. String lights, florals, neon signs, candles, greenery, vintage furniture, whatever reads as the two of you.
Every vendor here should be someone you genuinely trust. We never stand between you and the people making the day beautiful.
Golden hour on the pastureFour backdrops, all within a short walk
The courtyard is enclosed enough to feel intimate and photographs beautifully in afternoon light. The gazebo faces the sunset and suits a small ceremony or a cocktail hour.
The barn exterior and the bay doors give you the reclaimed wood and the grand entrance. The pond and the Hill Country horizon handle portraits and the golden hour set.
Then there are the goats and the cows, which no photographer plans for and every photographer ends up using.
The property is not locked into one look
Barn wood, warm lighting, wildflowers, wooden signage and a palette pulled straight off the Texas landscape.
Chandeliers with linen, candlelight and refined florals. Polished without losing the warmth of the room.
Macrame, pampas, earth tones and a ceremony against the hills at sunset.
String lights, farm tables, mason jars and a dance floor under the chandeliers, on a ranch that actually works.

Asked and answered
- What is the barn's capacity?
- Two hundred guests on the main floor plus twenty on the mezzanine, with the bay doors opening onto the turf, for up to 220 total.
- What deposits are required?
- Two. A $1,000 non-refundable booking deposit secures your date and applies toward your venue rental. A separate $1,000 security deposit is due 60 days before your event. It is not included in the venue rental rates and is refunded about two weeks after your event, provided there are no damages.
- Are sheriff's officers required?
- Yes. Two sheriff's officers are required for events serving alcohol and one for dry events, at $60 an hour per officer with a four-hour minimum. We handle the scheduling, and you pay the officers directly in cash on the day of your event.
- Do Saturdays or peak season cost more?
- No. Pricing is based on how much access you book, four-day or day-of, not the day of the week or the time of year.
- Can we bring our own vendors?
- We share a preferred vendor list of professionals who have worked on the property and come highly recommended. You are also welcome to bring your own vendors, as long as they are properly licensed. A minimum of day-of management is required and is booked separately.
- Is a coordinator required?
- Yes. Moonshadow Ranch requires a minimum of day-of management, which is booked separately. We work closely with an independent wedding coordinator who knows the venue and can provide coordination services separately. You are also welcome to hire a coordinator of your choice.
- Are chairs and tables included?
- Yes. Twenty 72" round tables that seat ten, cocktail tables, and 200 reception chairs and 200 ceremony chairs, included. White table linens, gold and silver chargers, centerpieces and a complimentary decor closet come with the venue too.
- Is there a kitchen for our caterer?
- A warming kitchen with two commercial refrigerators, a warming oven and an ice machine. It is set up to warm and serve rather than cook from scratch.
- Is lodging available on the property?
- Yes. Six guest rooms in the 4,400 sq ft ranch house, five with king beds and private bathrooms, plus the Silo just off the main house, which sleeps four.
- Will other events be happening while we are here?
- No. When you book Moonshadow Ranch there is no shared access with other groups or events.
- Can we host the rehearsal dinner here?
- Yes. With four-day access the rehearsal dinner happens right here, in the barn, in the courtyard, or under the open sky.
- Are pets allowed?
- Dogs are welcome with a deposit. Let us know in advance.
